Set up with AI

An AI that works in your browser can do the steps of our implementation guides in your sandbox. You watch it, and you approve each change.

Read this first

  • Use a sandbox only. Never run it in a production org.
  • Watch the AI the whole time. An AI can make mistakes.
  • Check each change before you approve it. You own the result in your org.
  • Sign-ins, agreement boxes, keys and signatures stay with you. The AI asks you to do them.
  • Paste keys and codes into Salesforce yourself. Never paste a key, code or password into the AI chat.
  • The AI sees what is on your screen. Use a sandbox without real customer data where you can. Check your company's rules for AI tools first.
  • To find or undo a change, open Setup and search for View Setup Audit Trail. It lists each change, with who made it and when.
  • Keep the AI chat until the setup is done. If something goes wrong, send the chat to us with your case.

Video

The video comes soon.

What you need

  • A Salesforce sandbox where you are an admin.
  • An AI that can click and type on web pages. We tested these three:
    • Claude in Chrome, from Anthropic, with the Sonnet model.
    • ChatGPT Work, in the ChatGPT extension for Chrome, from OpenAI.
    • Grok Bot, from xAI. Grok Bot uses its own browser on an xAI cloud computer, not your Chrome. You sign in to your sandbox in that browser.
  • Other AIs that can click on web pages can work too, but we did not test them.

A chat AI in a normal browser tab cannot click in Salesforce. It can still read the guide and answer your questions while you do the steps yourself.

Steps

  1. In Chrome, sign in to your sandbox.
  2. Open the implementation guide for your app: Simple Signature, Address Verification, Highlighter or List Browse.
  3. Near the top of the guide, click Copy for AI.
  4. Open the AI side panel next to your sandbox tab. Start a new chat. With Grok Bot, open a new chat with the Bot.
  5. Paste the copied text into the chat. Send it.
  6. Before each change, the AI tells you what it will click. Read it. Type OK to approve it, or tell the AI to stop.
  7. When the AI asks you to sign in, approve the install, tick a box or paste a key, do it yourself. Then tell the AI that it is done.

If the AI stops or goes wrong

  • Tell the AI what you see on the screen.
  • To go on after a break, paste the text again and add one line, for example: Start at chapter 3, step 2. The steps before it are done.
  • To stop, tell the AI to stop, or close the side panel. The AI makes no more changes after that.
  • Each guide has a chapter called If something does not work. The search on the troubleshooting page covers it too.
  • Still stuck? Open a case. Tell us the chapter and step where the AI stopped.

What the copied text tells the AI

The button copies two parts: a setup request in your voice, then the whole guide as plain text. The request tells the AI to work in the org you are signed in to, to wait for your OK before each change, and to stop when a screen does not match the guide. The rest of it holds tips for Salesforce screens.

Read the full request

I want to set up [app name] in my Salesforce org, and I want you to help. I am signed in to the org in this browser. Follow the [app name] implementation guide below, one step at a time. Before each change in Salesforce, tell me what you will click, and wait for my OK. Work in the org I am signed in to, sandbox or production. Do not ask me which one it is. A sandbox has the word sandbox in its web address. If the org is production, skip the advice in the guide to start in a sandbox. If the org is production, pick the production choice where the guide names a sandbox one, such as Get It Now in place of the sandbox install. If a screen does not match the guide, stop and tell me what you see. Ask me to do any step you cannot do, such as signing in or approving the install. When a step needs a value from the screen, such as the remote site address, read it from the screen. If a save shows no message, reload the page and check that the change stayed. If a list does not open when you click it, click it, type the value and press Enter. Ask me to paste any key or code into Salesforce myself, and to sign any signature box myself. Never ask me to paste a key, code or password into this chat. If you cannot drag a component in the Lightning App Builder, click a component near the spot, click the + above or below it, then click the component you need. In a code editor, paste the whole code in one piece. Do not type it. If the editor adds its own indents or closing tags, make the code match the guide before you save. If a page opens in a window you cannot reach, open the same page in this tab. If a Setup page inside Lightning does not take your typing, or you cannot read a box on it, open the same page in its own tab or in Salesforce Classic. If a link or a tab does not open on the first click, wait 5 seconds, then click it again. If it still does not open, reload the page. To tick a small box beside a label, click the box itself. After you pick a value in a list, check the field. If it is still empty, pick the value again. If a page does not scroll, put the pointer over the main part of the page, then scroll. If a record page shows no pencil beside a field, click the arrow at the top right of the record, then click Edit.

Questions

Is this TAF's AI?

No. TAF gives you written instructions only. You use your own AI, from another company, with your own account and under that company's terms. TAF does not make, sell or control that AI.

Which AI do I need?

An AI that can click and type on web pages. We tested Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work and Grok Bot in October 2026. We did not test any other AI, and we make no claim about them. AI tools change often, so a tool that worked in our test can work differently later.

Does TAF guarantee the result?

No. TAF guarantees nothing about what an AI does with our instructions. The same instructions can give different results from one run to the next.

Who is responsible if the AI makes a mistake?

You are, the same as when your own admin does the install by hand. The makers of these AI tools also say, in their own terms, that the user is responsible for what their AI does. TAF is not responsible for how another company's AI reads our instructions or acts on them.

Can the AI do the install on its own?

No. A person must run the install with the AI from start to end. That person watches each step, approves each change, and does the sign-ins, agreement boxes and keys. The AI clicks the buttons. It does not make the decisions.

Can I use it in production?

No. Use a sandbox only. When the setup works in the sandbox, your admin moves it to production.

Will TAF fix a problem with my AI?

No. TAF support does not troubleshoot AI tools, AI accounts, prompts or AI chats. For a problem with the AI, contact the company that makes it. For a problem with our app or a guide step, open a case. Tell us the chapter, the step and the error text.

What does the AI see?

The AI sees what is on your screen, and the company that makes it gets that data under its own terms. Use a sandbox without real customer data where you can. Check your company's rules for AI tools before you start.

Should I send TAF the AI chat?

You can, if a guide step looks wrong. It helps us find a mistake in the guide. We do not use it to fix your AI.

Terms for AI-assisted setup

  1. Copy for AI gives you written instructions. It is not an AI service. TAF does not make, sell, support or control any AI tool.
  2. To use it, you need your own AI tool from another company. You use that tool with your own account and under that company's terms.
  3. A person must run the setup with the AI. That person watches each step, approves each change, and does the sign-ins, agreement boxes and keys. Do not let an AI work alone. Use a sandbox only.
  4. You are responsible for each change an AI makes in your org, the same as for a change your own admin makes. TAF is not responsible for errors that an AI makes when it reads or acts on our instructions.
  5. TAF tested Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work and Grok Bot in October 2026. TAF did not test other AI tools. AI tools change often. TAF makes no promise that any AI tool follows the instructions correctly.
  6. TAF provides the instructions as they are, with no warranty for their use with an AI.
  7. TAF support does not troubleshoot AI tools. For a problem with an AI tool, contact its maker. For a problem with a TAF app or a guide, open a case.
  8. This section does not change your license agreement with TAF.
